Muswell Hill Golf Club

Located just five miles to the north of the City of London, Muswell Hill Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course that offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities. It was founded in 1893 and has evolved into a premier course hosting both regional and county competitions.
Under the leadership of Course Manager Kevin O’Neill, the grounds staff have been developing the course in recent years, creating new tees on some holes, re-laying and repositioning tees on others, adding new bunkers and redesigning one of the greens; more is planned for the future.
In March 2018, Kevin took delivery of 20 tonnes of British Sugar TOPSOIL’s Sports&Turf topdressing, which is widely used by golf greenkeepers for tee construction and repair and course renovation. Kevin explained:
“I was looking for a product that offered both moisture retention and nutritional properties to use primarily for repairing divots on tees and for other works around the course. Using Sports&Turf we have seen germination and the treated areas starting to recover. This is a product we will continue to use now that we have seen the initial good results.”
