A recent project – the building of a new primary school at Cringleford, approximately four miles to the southwest of Norwich - includes the construction of a new playing field. British Sugar TOPSOIL’s Landscape20 BS3882:2015-compliant general purpose topsoil was chosen for the job and 4,600 tonnes (2,475m3) were delivered to site over a three-week period in April/May 2023. Aylsham Plant Hire Ltd, working for the main contractor, successfully distributed the topsoil to a uniform depth of 250mm using a GPS Komatsu Dozer.
Landscape20 was approved by R G Carter Ltd’s specialist landscape consultant to ensure the seed had a perfect sub-base in which to grow. Seeding will commence later this year, ready for the new intake of students in September 2024.

Landscape20 was approved to replace the top 250mm layer as a premium topsoil to give the field the best opportunity to thrive.
