Join Kim Campton, Topsoil Sales Manager at Boughton Loam for British Sugar TOPSOIL, and a panel of expert speakers for a webinar on ‘Clean Capping Requirements for Brownfield Land Remediation’ on Wednesday 29th January from 10am to 3pm.
The webinar is delivered in association with Boughton Loam, British Sugar TOPSOIL, Tim O’Hare Associates and others, will discuss the key requirements in the selection and sampling of appropriate soil sources, the assessment of sites, soil compaction and the design, placement and verification of the clean capping layer.
Kim will be presenting on how our natural topsoil is produced, what products are used, key pointers to check when sourcing topsoil and how BS TOPSOIL is highly regarded in the industry because of its consistent quality and procedures.
Participants attending will learn that an essential part of completing the remediation of brownfield sites is the topsoil and subsoil used to cap the site, and making good choices in selecting the correct topsoil supplier is key to successfully clearing NHBC and Local Authority conditions, and knowing how to get it right the first time can be important when it comes to having funds released by lenders.
Capping is a traditional method for isolating contaminated soil or waste and can allow sites to be reused. This technique is used to reduce the risk of exposure to soils potentially harmful to health and or to reduce contaminant mobilisation by presenting a low permeability barrier to infiltration.
Kim Campton has been the Topsoil Sales Manager with British Sugar Topsoil for 8 years and in 2024 join in partnership with Boughton Loam Ltd, part of The Bennie Group.
