HortLoam donation to Green Park Primary and Nursery School

British Sugar TOPSOIL by Boughton Loam donated 20 tonnes of HortLoam to Green Park Primary and Nursery School in King's Lynn to plant trees on the school grounds, providing an excellent free draining and nutrient rich soil to tackle the in situ high clay content material onsite.

As Forest school leader and school grounds landscaper, Nicola Marray-Woods explains "The horticultural loam so kindly donated by Boughton Loam made a huge difference to the planting of our trees. The clay soil in the school grounds came out in such solid cubes we started to refer to them as Minecraft blocks! The children were fascinated by the rich dark crumbly texture of the loam and couldn’t resist running it through their fingers at every opportunity; a real sensory experience enjoyed by children from Nursery to Year 6 (not to mention the adults). It’s also going to give the plants much more hope of survival. Huge thanks to Natalie and her team at Boughton."
