British Sugar TOPSOIL attended Horticulture Week's Parks & Gardens Live
British Sugar TOPSOIL attended Horticulture Week’s Parks & Gardens Live showcase on Wednesday 27 June 2018 at the stunning Woburn Abbey House & Gardens.

Parks & Gardens Live, provided professional gardeners, parks professionals and landscape maintenance teams an exciting mix of practical learning, mentoring, inspiration, knowledge sharing and networking – all curated by Horticulture Weeks technical editor, Sally Drury.

The TOPSOIL stand showcased our products HortLoam and Lawn Dressing.

HortLoam is a BS3882:2015-compliant enriched planting topsoil containing additional reserves of organic matter. It provides the optimum environment for establishing young plants and encouraging healthy root growth and is the perfect planting topsoil for rootball trees, shrubs, ornamentals and vegetables.

Chosen by horticulturist Matthew Oliver as the base planting medium for the new Global Growth Vegetable Garden at RHS Garden Hyde Hall in Chelmsford. HortLoam is ideal for shrub and vegetable planting schemes, podium projects, raised beds, and the planting of rootball trees.

Lawn Dressing comprises an optimum 80/20 blend of predominantly coarse to medium sand and BS3882:2015-compliant topsoil, providing a cost-efficient means of treating wear and compaction, improving drainage and encouraging growth on formal lawns and areas that may have suffered from heavy footfall as a result of events such as music festivals. Used on the formal lawns of King’s College, Cambridge, Lawn Dressing is the ideal treatment for estate lawns.
