British Sugar TOPSOIL donates 20tn of HortLoam to Brandon Allotments

The Allotments suffered severe flooding back in October 2023 when the river Ouse flooded, completely covering the site and causing damage to all of the plots.

TOPSOIL Sales Manager Kim Campton met with Brandon Allotment Secretary Diane Ellis and the Deputy Leader of West Suffolk Council Victor Lukaniuk to see the progress since the flooding. Kim was able to view the whole allotment area and see where our product had been used. Kim also met one of the plot holders who was grateful for HortLoam to plant her vegetables and get back out onto the allotment.

Hortloam is ideal for planting rootball trees, shrub beds, retained planters and vegetable planting projects. With an added PAS 100 compost it gives good fertility and nutrient levels providing optimum plant establishment and growth.

Allotment Secretary Diane Ellis said: ‘On behalf of her and the Allotment Holders, a big thank you to British Sugar Topsoil for the generous donation’.
